Driver Information

Driver Training

The drivers have very important position at our company they are teachers, overseers, and mentors to the student riding the bus. The drivers must be 21 years old, possess proper classified driver license issued by the Secretary of State. All driver must pass our company issued inspection test on buses. Being physically able to drive and operate our bus. All drivers must have clean valid driver license. A driver must complete one week of training. We have a test that must be taken, and the driver in training must ride along and assist other drivers for one full week; before being allowed to handle our buses on their own. All drivers must have clean criminal record and love there job, which is transporting kids safely to there destination.

Drug/Alcohol Testing

KTR requires all drivers/employees to pass a drug/alcohol test at Concentra 4000 Odgen ave. Aurora, IL 60504. KTR (Kids Teen Rider) must have a drug/alcohol test on file before anyone is hired. (Random drug testing).Any driver/employee that doesn’t pass the test will not be hired!

Background Checks

Each driver will be sent to the Naperville Police department for finger printing. Kids Teen Rider will send the finger prints to the state police for background checks. No driver will be allowed to drive for Kids Teen Rider until background is clear.

Driving Records

KTR does not have any accidents or incidents on record, including any violations. Safety is very important to us! The vans we use are kept very clean, and are equipped with secure seatbelts. We strictly enforce the use of seatbelts with all our passengers and parents provide booster seats. Kids Teen Rider only provides booster seats when necessary!
